The Port of Sohar (50/50 Government of Oman and Port of Rotterdam) is a fast developing industrial port located 250 km north of Muscat. Three clusters of activities are housed : logistics, petrochemicals and metals.

1. Description of the mission
|
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage team operators to operate all the facilities as described in the above list according to the O&M plan, work instructions and procedures. The domestic wastewater treatment plant will have its own supervisor, but whenever necessary and required by the Management, the Seawater intake/Chlorination/Networks Supervisor may replace him.
- Report to the Operation and Maintenance Manager and interface with maintenance teams about the daily business.
- Identify and control problems promptly.
- Perform regular process checks.
- Develop procedures taking into account QA and HS.
- Prepare reports and records.
- Manage his team
- Train and submit training for his team
- Supervise interventions regarding network connections
- Supervise water quality sampling.
- Perform any duties of the O&M manager when required.
- On call duty or possibly 3shift duty, and work overtime, when required and instructed by the management
- Responsible for excellent housekeeping at all times.
- Perform any reasonable duty/instruction from Management.

2. Profile required

· Accredited and recognized diploma (preferentially in chemical or environment or mechanical) or equivalent is required
· Base original education should be in the electromechanical field.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant practical experience in water utilities operations
Knowledge of:

2. Description of the mission

To supervise the Maintenance of all the facilities described above.
To provide Instrumentation Maintenance Engineering expertise to Operations team to ensure the availability of the equipments and respect the objective of the contract and that scheduled and unscheduled maintenances satisfy Operations team regarding solution implemented, reactivity and budget.
Tasks and Responsibilities’
· Maintain, monitor and develop instrumentation and control equipments
· Supervise water meter testing and calibration.
· Be responsible for the set-up and calibration of instrumentation and control systems
· Participate to the development and the improvement of the Computerised Maintenance Management System – CMMS
· Organize the weekly and daily program for the team – preventive, predictive and corrective maintenances - based on the CMMS and on the daily request of the operation
· Prepare the work by checking spares and equipment availability
· Maintain records, files and technical documentation up to date
· Supervise water quality sampling.
· Supervise interventions regarding network connections.

2. Description of the mission
|
The employee may work indifferently on any of the facilities described above, when instructed by the Management: seawater facilities, process water facilities, potable water facilities, wastewater facilities.
- Perform the water and sludge analysis according to the analysis program, and other request from O&M Manager, including sampling.
- Carry out the analysis in accordance with operating and quality procedures.
- Operate the plant laboratory, maintain laboratory equipment in good condition, provide chemicals on time
- Register the analyses results in the data base, and establish reports
- Input data in the appropriate software.
- Ensure the traceability of laboratory analysis results.
- Notify immediately the persons concerned in the event of non compliance of analysis results.

2. Description of the mission
|
To ensure various operational tasks, according to Supervisor and Operators instructions.
The employee may work indifferently on any of the facilities described above, when instructed by the Management: seawater facilities, process water facilities, potable water facilities, wastewater facilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
|
· Perform operational tasks according to operator instructions, such as
· Cleaning,
· Sampling
· Index reading and reporting
· Assist Operator in performing their task
· Carry out earth moving works.
· Assure loading / unloading operations.
· Assure the cleanliness of the equipment and the work area.
· Distribute goods according to storage areas.
· Package / repackage goods.
· Optimize the storage space.
· Complete intervention sheets.
· And perform any duties of the Supervisor when required
· Respect and adhere to any specific request from Management
· Work overtime when required and instructed by Management
· Responsible for excellent housekeeping at all times
· Perform any reasonable duty/instruction from Management
· Adhere, respect and ensure the adherence to the company Occupational Health, Safety and environment policy and procedures at all times

3. Profile required

Experience
· diploma (preferentially in chemical or environment) or equivalent is a plus
· Minimum 3 years of experience in waste water treatment plant operations
Knowledge of:

· Preparation for Shipping/delivery of materials as per Pick Release/MTS and after preparation to forward the documents duly signed and dated to the Storekeeper/Clerk.
· Unloading and receiving purchase materials from suppliers, verification of quantities/no. of packaging/no. of pallets received vis a vis delivery documents.
· Preparing Purchase Materials for quality inspection, ascertaining complete quantities received vis a vis Invoice/Delivery Note, notifying discrepancies shortages/excess/damages and repalletising/arranging materials.
· Keeping the purchased materials after inspection clearance in the locations assigned by the Storekeeper/Clerk and forwarding the documents.
· Receiving production from shopfloor and keeping in location assigned by the Storekeeper/Clerk and forwarding the documents to the Clerk for updating.
· Attending to Loading of materials for delivery to Customer cleared by the Shipping Foremen.
· Arranging all materials systematically and properly.
· Maintain the Warehouse premises clean and tidy always.
· Physical verification of materials as and when directed by the Clerk/Storekeeper/Shipping in-cahrge/Warehouse Supervisor.
· Carry out the jobs using Forklift/Trolley as per requirement.
· Ensure that the Forklift/Trolleys assigned are properly maintained and kept ready for use any time.
